Measuring for a Big Air Collapsible Bimini

The Big Air Collapsible Bimini is a semi-custom bimini that is made to the interior measurements of your installed tower.

We recommend taking the following measurements one foot (12 inches) down from the top of your tower. This is to ensure that we clear any hanging accessories (speakers, lights, etc.) when your bimini is installed.

  • You can choose to take your measurements higher or lower on your tower, but please note that the bimini height is 36 inches tall when opened.

There are 2 important dimensions that determine the proper size of the bimini top. Those dimensions are what we call the “X” and “CF”.
Please take moment to review these measurements before submitting your order.

  • “CF & CR” is the circumference of the tower tubes. See image to the right. If you know your tubing size, take it and multiply it by 3.14. Example: 2″ tubing – 2 x 3.14 = 6.28
    • CF = circumference of front tower leg
    • CR = circumference of rear tower leg
  • “X” measurement is the distance between the vertical tower tubes one foot (12 inches) below the top of the tower, shown in the image below.
    • You will want to measure both the front and rear tubes in this position. Your measurement will be the “narrower” of the two. For example, rear legs measure 62 inches, front legs measure 60 inches. Your measurement will be 60 inches.
